PRITHVIRAJ

Prithviraj Sukumaran born on 16 October 1982 in Trivandrum, Kerala, credited mononymously as Prithviraj , is an Indian film actor and producer. He was born to actors Sukumaran and Mallika. His brother Indrajith Sukumaran and sister-in-law Poornima Indrajith are also film actors. Prithviraj initial schooling was at St. Mary’s School Poojapura, Trivandrum. Later he did his schooling from Sainik School, Trivandrum and Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Trivandrum. While pursuing his Bachelors in Information Technology at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Pithviraj is married to Supriya Menon, a BBC India Reporter on 29 April, 2011.

In the year, 2002 he made his first debut in the Ranjith directed movie Nandanam. After this he was seen in movies directed by Lohithadas, KamalKamal and Bhadran. Prithviraj has acted in more than sixty films, notable movies were Stop Violence (2002), Swapnakoodu (2003), Classmates (2006), Vargam (2006), Vaasthavam (2006), Thirakkatha (2008) and Urumi (2011). He is also seen in Tamil and Telugu movies. In his acting career, he was bagged with many awards and nominations.

Prithviraj made his debut in Tamil through Kana Kandaen in 2005. His other notable films in Tamil are Parijatham (2005), Mozhi (2007) and Raavanan (2010). His debut in Telugu was through Police Police in 2010.

Prithviraj also debuted as a singer in Puthiya Mukham (2009) by singing the title song of the movie. Prithviraj has also formed a production company named August Cinema along with director Santosh Sivan and actor or entrepreneur Shaji Nateshan in 2009. Their first production venture, the multi-lingual film Urumi was released in 2011.
